After hearing the arguments, the court observed that since the trial was underway in the lower court, bail cannot be granted at this point. The bench further noted that the accused had remained a fugitive for a considerable time. It noted that such matters fell under the jurisdiction of the trial court, therefore, bail could not be granted, dismissing the bail application.
