CCPO reviews police performance
LAHORE:Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana reviewed performance of Civil Lines and City divisions police with a special focus on security arrangements for Muharram.
The CCPO also directed cops to formulate a coordinated security strategy in collaboration with mourners, licence holders and peace committees. He stressed complete compliance with government-issued SOPs during Muharram. He emphasized the importance of close coordination with the Crime Control Department and asked cops to win the confidence of market associations and traders to deploy security guards and watchmen for preventing incidents of burglary and theft. The CCPO also ordered effective measures to curb the use and trade of heroin and crystal meth (ice) and directed the SSP (Operations) to launch special operations against gambling.
