Three cops injured in ‘encroachment mafia’ attack

Members of an ‘encroachment mafia’ attacked a police team in Raiwind, leaving a sub-inspector and two constables seriously injured.

According to a police spokesperson, Sub-Inspector Rizwan and his team were inspecting a site following an encroachment complaint when they were attacked. Sub-Inspector Waqas, who arrived to assist, was also assaulted with bricks, sustaining severe head injuries. Constable Ali Sher was critically injured, while another constable suffered a broken arm. FIRs have been registered against the attackers for encroachment and assault on government officials.
