KARACHI: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) has strongly condemned Israel’s recent military strike on Iran, calling it a “grave violation of international law” and warning of dire regional and economic consequences if tensions continue to escalate.
In a joint statement, LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad, Senior Vice President Engineer Khalid Usman, and Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry described the attack as a dangerous provocation that risks plunging the Middle East into deeper conflict.
“The unprovoked assault is not just a breach of the UN Charter -- it is a threat to global peace and a destabilising act that must be addressed urgently by the international community,” the officials said.
The LCCI leaders warned that prolonged instability in the region could disrupt global trade routes, roil energy markets and shake investor confidence worldwide. “This is no longer just a political issue; it is an economic and humanitarian crisis in the making,” the statement read.
“Silence in the face of such aggression is not an option. The international community must uphold international law and protect the lives and rights of all nations equally,” the LCCI officials said.
