£190m case: NAB constitutes special prosecution team
Team will assist court during hearing of appeal filed by Imran and Bushra against sentences and suspension of their sentence
ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has constituted a five-member prosecution team for appearing in Islamabad High Court (IHC) during hearing of appeals filed by Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi against their conviction in 190 million pounds case.
Team will assist the court during the hearing of appeal filed by Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi against sentences and suspension of their sentence. It will appear on behalf of NAB and give arguments.
This team comprising 5 special prosecutors has been constituted under directive of Prosecutor General NAB Syed Ehtesham Qadir Shah with the approval by NAB chairman. Sardar Muzaffar Ahmad Khan will lead the team. The other members of committee are Irfan Ahmad, Sohail Arif, Rafay Maqsood and Yasir Salim Rana.
According to NAB this team will pursue NAB stance during hearing on June 5 in the court. Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have filed petitions in IHC against their conviction and suspension of sentence in 190 million pounds case. Hearing will take place on June 5.
