Rally under PM’s Youth Programme celebrates Pakistan’s victory over India
Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony Kheal Das Kohistani on Sunday said global disputes could only be resolved through talks and it is high time for India to decide whether it wants war with Pakistan or negotiations.
He made these remarks while he was addressing a rally held under the aegis of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme in Sindh to celebrate Pakistan's outstanding military victory against India in recent armed clashes.
The rally started at the Mazar-e-Quaid and ended at the Fawara Chowk in Saddar. Participants of the rally held Pakistani flags and raised slogans in favour of the Pakistani armed forces. Kohistani said the entire nation saluted the Pakistani armed forces for the resounding success in the recent skirmishes with India.
He said India had to suffer a crushing defeat at the hands of Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Asim Munir. He also praised the Pakistani youth for effectively using social media platforms to expose baseless anti-Pakistan propaganda by India.
The minister of state said that phenomenal attendance of youngsters in the rally showed the youth’s gratitude to the Pakistan Army for safeguarding the frontiers of the country. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nehal Hashmi said the recent military confrontation with India had shown strong defence capabilities of Pakistan. He said the rally symbolised unity among the Pakistani youth for safeguarding the country.
Provincial Coordinator for PM's Youth Programme Fahad Shafiq said the rally was held to show solidarity with the Pakistani armed forces. He praised the courage and daring military strategy adopted by the three services chiefs of Pakistan while fighting against India.
He told the audience that the PM's Youth Programme had been launched to empower future generations of Pakistan. He said the programme would impart valuable technology-related skills to the youth. He said Karachi's youth had expressed gratitude to the present government for launching this scheme.
