Police recover infant abducted from Ibrahim Hyderi
The Ibrahim Hyderi police on Friday recovered an eight-month-old baby who had been abducted from her home in the Juma Goth area.
The incident was reported immediately by the child’s parents. The police launched a comprehensive search operation, employing modern technology and technical methods to track down the missing infant. Within a few hours, the baby was found alive and safe, rescued from a nearby drainage line.
During the investigation, the arrested suspects—identified as Shaukat, Allah Dino, and Kamran — confessed to abducting the child in order to steal her gold earrings. They admitted that the motive behind the abduction was purely to snatch the jewellery.
The suspects also revealed the involvement of a fourth accomplice, and raids were currently underway to ensure his arrest. Legal proceedings had been initiated against the arrested individuals, and further investigations were ongoing, according to a spokesperson for the Malir Police.
