MANSEHRA: The district administration on Friday announced the establishment of facilitation centres for tourists expected to visit Kaghan valley during the Eidul Azha holidays.
“We expect a record influx of visitors in our district, particularly in the Kaghan valley. All departments, especially Rescue 1122, police, the health department and Tehsil Municipal Administrations, will remain on high alert,” Deputy Commissioner Khalid Iqbal told a meeting held at the New Circuit House.
The meeting was also attended by the heads and representatives of devolved departments, Rescue 1122, Tehsil Municipal Administrations, police, and the president of the Hoteliers Association in Kaghan valley, Seth Matiullah.
The DC said facilitation centres would be established in Shogran and Kaghan valley to provide tourists with guidance on weather conditions, road clearance, and other important information.“Rescue 1122 will remain on high alert in Mansehra, Kaghan, and other parts of the district to handle any emergencies before, during, and after the Eid holidays,” Iqbal added.
He said that health facilities at the District Headquarters Hospital and in Kaghan valley would remain operational around the clock to provide emergency medical services.Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Shahnawaz Khan informed the meeting that special contingents of police would be deployed in the Kaghan valley.
“We have finalised a comprehensive plan to ensure the smooth flow of traffic on the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road up to Babusar Top,” he said.Seth Matiullah, president of the Hoteliers Association in Kaghan valley, assured that the local business community would provide quality hospitality services without overcharging visitors.
