Rawalpindi: Renowned artists presented spectacular stage performances on the fifth day of the ongoing Regional Drama Festival 2025 organised by Punjab Council of the Arts (PCA), Rawalpindi.

This festival is being organised on the special instructions of Uzma Bukhari, Minister for Information and Culture, Government of Punjab, to revive family theatre in Punjab. The stage play ‘Numaish’ presented on the fifth day won the hearts of the audience. The play was written by renowned TV theatre and Radio actor and writer Tahir Siddiqui, while Anjum Habibi, Sumaira Malik, Mazhar Malik, Dr Waqar Azeem, Dr Shaheen Kazmi, Aqsa Riaz Qureshi and Tanveer Qazi showed their unparalleled acting skills in the lead roles.

The story of the play was based on the ups and downs, emotions and social aspects of an artist's life, which was well appreciated by the audience. The performances of the artists took the standard of family entertainment to new heights and the audience termed the return of theatre to the stage as a welcome initiative.
