Sindh police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon chaired a review meeting on Thursday on the overall law and order situation, especially in the Katcha areas, and the performance of the police in this context.
Officials said the meeting was attended by DIG Larkana Nasir Aftab, district SSPs and SP Special Branch. The IGP said told the meeting that in order to stabilize the law and order situation in the Katcha areas and bring it under complete police control, the ongoing targeted operation against dacoits and other criminal elements, groups and their patrons would continue until the last dacoit was eliminated. He hoped that the brave officers and youth of the Sindh police were extremely determined and ready to completely eliminate the dacoits.
IGP Memon said the district SSPs are free from any kind of pressure or political interference in departmental affairs and measures. There is no need to fear or panic from anyone, as the police are at the forefront for the safety of the people, he remarked. He said law and order is much better in the Larkana range than in the past.
