2 killed as lightning hits marble mine

GHALLANAI: Two labourers were killed and a truck driver sustained injuries when lightning struck the Khankai marble mine during rainfall on Thursday.
According to rescue sources, the deceased workers have been identified as Meena Gul and Rafiq, both residents of Khyber. The injured driver, Jameel, hails from Bajaur.The Rescue 1122 teams were dispatched immediately after the incident was reported. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Ghalanai Hospital, while the injured driver was given first aid on-site and later transported to Khar Hospital in Bajaur for further medical treatment.
