One arrested after family booked for thrashing female teacher at private school
One of the suspects has been arrested after the registration of a case at the Jamshed Quarters police station against a family for harassing a female teacher of a private school.
Police said the harassment incident took place inside a private school situated on Jamshed Road. The case was registered on the complaint of the victim and includes charges of threats, breach of peace, harassment of a female teacher and violence.
Those nominated in the case included the mother of a school student Eshal Shahid, her father Shahid, police head constable Abdul Hafeez posted at the Kalakot police station and some bystanders.
According to the FIR, the suspects entered the school with arms and manhandled a female teacher. They also used obscene language.
After the incident, the school administration approached the police for legal action. An application was filed by the school administration at the Jamshed Quarters police station for the registration of a case.
According to the case, police official Abdul Hafeez was the uncle of the girl student who violated the peaceful environment of the school at gunpoint on May 26, 2025.
Hafeez can also be seen in CCTV footage hurling abusive words and fighting outside the school. Police said one of the suspects involved in the incident had been arrested who was the father of the schoolgirl. The police official nominated in the case is yet to be arrested.
According to police, Head Constable Hafeez was posted in forensics and was currently undergoing training. According to the authorities, departmental action had been initiated against him and efforts were under way to arrest him.
In a statement, the District East police said the private school where the incident took place was situated within the limits of the Jamshed Quarters police station. The parents of a girl engaged in an argument with a teacher and beat her up. Police said they were in touch with the administration of the school and they would spare no one who was involved in violence at the school.
According to the text of the application, the argument took place on a minor punishment given to the student in the school.
Police said the police official nominated in the case committed the illegal act in his individual capacity against the law and regulations, and action had been initiated against him. Further investigations are under way.
