Robbery suspects held; loot returned to owner

LAHORE : Crime Control Department (CCD) Iqbal Town, traced and arrested suspects involved in a high-profile robbery that took place in the Sanda area a few weeks ago.

According to a spokesperson for the CCD, the operation was conducted using advanced technology and human intelligence, leading to the arrest of the accused and the recovery of significant stolen items. The suspects had reportedly looted cash and valuables last month. The CCD team tracked them down and recovered Rs9m in cash along with mobile phones. CCD SP Aftab Ahmed handed over the recovered items to the complainant, Irfan Qadri, in the presence of officials.

Man held for attempting to kill father

Nadarabad police arrested a man for allegedly attempting to kill his own father over a property dispute. According to a spokesperson, the action was taken following a call received on the police helpline 15. The suspect, identified as Mubashir, was apprehended with a pistol in his possession. Initial investigations revealed that the accused had threatened to kill his father and reportedly attempted to do so using the firearm during a heated argument over family property. The local police arrested the suspect and registered a case against him.
