BUREWALA: Rising incidents of harassment targeting girls in Burewala and surrounding areas have raised public concern, prompting police to launch formal investigations into the cases.
The first incident was reported at 445/EB village where Faiz Rasool reported that his daughter and other school going girls were harassed by a rickshaw driver identified as Farooq along with three unidentified accomplices. In another incident reported on Lahore Road, a young cashier was reportedly harassed near her home at Chungi No 5 after returning from her shift at a superstore. The girl told police that two unidentified men riding a motorcycle intercepted her and said inappropriate remarks for her. The people have demanded the police high ups take notice of the incidents.
