Khuzdar bus blast toll rises to 6

QUETTA: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Balochistan Police registered a case against unknown terrorists in connection with the Khuzdar IED attack on the Army Public School Bus in Khuzdar on the compliant of police on Thursday.
The case was registered under murder attempt, murder and Anti-Terrorism act. Sources said that CTD officials have started an investigation into the Khuzdar incident.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the suicide attack on the Army Public School school bus rose to six as another girl student of Grade 8 succumbed to her injuries.
A bus of Army Public School was targeted with an IED attack in Khuzdar when it was carrying girls and boys from one part of the cantonment area to the school.
Three girls, including Ayesha Saleem, student of grade 10, Hafsa Kausar of grade 7 and Sania Somroo of grade 6, had lost their lives on the spot.
An eyewitness said after the blast when he reached the site, the bodies and injured had been shifted to CMH, Khuzdar. However, the wreckage of the bus was lying at the explosion site. Bloodied books, notebooks and student bags were lying on the road.
Meanwhile, CTD, police and officials of other law enforcement agencies were investigating the incident. They had collected cell phones of people who were present in the nearby shops to get footage. Many shops and petrol pumps were also damaged in the powerful blast. No one has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack on the Army Public School bus so far.
