Housing ministry abolishes 1,847 posts
Out of these, 945 posts have been abolished while 902 posts have been declared as dying cadre

ISLAMABAD: Under the rightsizing policy of the federal cabinet, the Ministry of Housing and Works has also abolished 1,847 posts.
Out of these, 945 posts have been abolished while 902 posts have been declared as dying cadre.
According to sources, the total posts of the ministry are 4,621, including vacant 1,361 posts.
According to sources, abolished posts include 25 posts of the ministry, 1,598 posts of Pak PWD, 66 of Estate Office, 50 of Federal Government Employees Housing Authority, 51 of Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation, 31 of National Construction Company Limited and 26 of PEPAC.
Housing and Construction Secretary Dr. Shahzad Bangash, as the principal accounting officer, has approved the abolition of these posts.
