Father-son ‘Saturday Snatchers’ gang busted

LAHORE:Islampura Police arrested a two-member snatching gang that specifically targeted women in residential areas.
According to City Division SP, the gang - infamously known as the “Saturday Snatchers” - consisted of a father-son duo identified as Shiraz and his son Tayyab. The suspects would patrol neighborhoods on a motorcycle, surveilling lone women before swiftly snatching their handbags, mobile phones, or cash and fleeing the scene.
Police said the gang had been active in recent weeks, with one of their latest snatching incidents caught on CCTV footage. Acting on the footage and public intelligence, police launched an operation that led to their arrest.
