Azma welcomes field marshal
“The generations to come will remember Gen Asim Munir’s extraordinary success,” says Azma
LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has welcomed the decision to appoint Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir as field marshal.
Congratulating him on this historic honour, she said it was a moment of immense pride not only for Pakistan’s armed forces but also for the entire nation. Under the leadership of Gen Asim Munir, the Pakistan armed forces demonstrated exceptional professionalism, unity, and determination, resulting in a historic victory against India. Gen Asim Munir has now become a symbol of national pride for Pakistan and a figure of fear for the country’s adversaries, particularly India.
She emphasized that defeating a traditional rival like India militarily, diplomatically, and morally is a remarkable accomplishment by the nation’s top military commander. “The generations to come will remember Gen Asim Munir’s extraordinary success,” she remarked, adding that due to his exemplary leadership, Pakistan’s army, navy, and air force stood among the most powerful defence forces in the world. Under his command, the armed forces have emerged as an indomitable and well-structured power in the region. She expressed confidence that under his continued leadership, Pakistan would become more secure, stable, and dignified.
