‘CM’s Clean Lahore Mission top priority’
LAHORE:Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza on Wednesday conducted a thorough inspection of sanitation and sewerage operations in Tehsil Cantt, focusing particularly on Barki Road, Infantry Road and Mian Mir Park.
The DC was accompanied by Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Lahore Shahid Abbas Kathia and Assistant Commissioner Cantt during the visit. Assistant Commissioner Cantt Fatima Arshad provided a detailed briefing about the area's current situation.
Deputy Commissioner Musa Raza emphasised that making the Chief Minister Punjab's Clean Lahore Mission successful remains his top priority, with the door-to-door waste collection campaign to continue on a daily basis. He announced that the anti-encroachment drive has been accelerated to make Lahore an encroachment-free city. The DC issued directives to Lahore Waste Management Company staff to ensure cleanliness throughout the district and ordered the relocation of cattle and nomadic huts from residential areas. He also instructed the Wasa to immediately resolve sewerage and drainage issues, stressing that all administrative matters should be completed in the most effective manner possible.
