‘Zero Day Surgery’ starts at PINS
LAHORE:In order to ensure timely treatment of patients, ‘Zero Day Surgery’ in the Punjab Institute of Neuro Sciences (PINS) for spinal trauma patients has been launched in accordance with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
PINS Executive Director Prof. Asif Bashir said that now, the operation has been made possible on the very first day of the patient’s admission which is a major breakthrough according to international standards. He said that the Neuro Spine Operation Theater has been made functional for 24 hours for spinal trauma patients in PINS. Now, immediate operation of spine trauma patients from all over Punjab has become possible which will provide the best and timely treatment to the patients.
Prof Asif Bashir further said that they are making the best use of the modern facilities provided by the Punjab government and are committed to continuously improving the quality of patient care.
He appreciated the tireless professional work and dedication of neurosurgeons, anesthesia team, health professionals, nurses and paramedics and said that due to their day and night efforts, the Neuro Institute has been able to provide high-quality care to spinal trauma patients.
