PESHAWAR: The differences between Aleema Khan and KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur have been resolved during a party meeting with a pledge to intensify the campaign for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan, sources said on Monday.
According to the party sources, the development came at an important meeting of the PTI held in Islamabad. It was attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and senior party leadership. The session was also attended by the PTI founder’s three sisters and members of the legal team. The sources privy to the meeting revealed that differences between Aleema Khan and Ali Amin Gandapur were resolved during the meeting. On the occasion, Aleema Khan stated: “We are not involved in politics, but our brother is in prison. We will continue to raise our voice for him.” The meeting decided to intensify the campaign for the PTI founder’s release. A detailed briefing was given on the legal status of the cases, and all PTI parliamentarians were instructed to be present in court on the days of the hearings. The sources added that it was decided to stage a symbolic sit-in and protest in front of the ECP on Wednesday, along with a protest march from Islamabad High Court to the electoral body.
