49 Lady Traffic Assistants join field duties
LAHORE:In a progressive move towards gender inclusivity and empowerment in policing, 49 newly inducted Lady Traffic Assistants (LTAs) have officially joined field duties across various sectors of Lahore after successfully completing their training course. This announcement was made by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Dr Athar Waheed on Monday.
CTO Lahore commended the female officers for stepping into demanding roles with dedication and professionalism. "Despite the harsh weather, these women have embraced their responsibilities with a new spirit and determination," he said. The fresh batch of LTAs has been deployed across multiple traffic sectors of the city, where they are performing duties shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. Their presence marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to ensure women’s active participation in frontline public service roles, he added.
