Tribute paid to armed forces
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) commemorated Yaum-e-Tashakkur with patriotic fervor at a special ceremony held on Friday at the historic Baradari Polo Ground.
The event marked the success of Operation Murus Al-Bayan and served as a heartfelt tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces and national heroes. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab expressed deep appreciation for the sacrifices, courage, and unwavering commitment of the armed forces in defending the nation.
The event was attended by Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, Municipal Commissioner Afzal Zaidi, Managing Director of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board Tariq Ali Nizamani, Managing Director of the Water and Sewerage Board Ahmad Ali Siddiqui, Chief Operating Officer Asadullah Khan, Parliamentary Leader in the City Council Karamullah Waqasi, members of the City Council, city wardens, and a large number of KMC officers and employees.
