Islamabad : The Capital Development Authority (CDA) under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) has commenced merit-based and transparent recruitment process for various departments of the civic body.
The CDA Chairman on Saturday paid a surprise visit to the computer-based examination centre at NUST and thoroughly reviewed the examination arrangements. CDA Member Admin, Member Estate, DG Human Resource Development, DG Resources and other relevant officers accompanied during the visit.
The test for recruitment process will continue until May 19.
The agreement with NUST marks a significant step in this direction where candidates eligibility and recruitment are being assessed via a computerized testing system which will also eliminate the culture of reference and prioritize merit and competence, the CDA Chairman said.
Randhawa said that CDA requires educated, skilled and technologically aware individuals and this testing system will ensure that the institution acquires the best workforce.
Under the agreement between CDA and NUST, all examinations are being conducted via a computer-based system, with invigilation and result compilation fully automated and transparent. This system guarantees merit at every stage from screening applications to final selection without any human interference.
The three-day testing series, running from May 17 to 19 will see the participation of approximately 3,823 candidates.
