Strict security for Friday prayers
LAHORE:Strict security measures were implemented across provincial capital on the occasion of Youm-e-Tashakur and Friday prayers.
Following the directives of DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, a high alert was enforced throughout the city, with strict checking at entry and exit points. Snipers were deployed at sensitive locations and security was further tightened at mosques and open venues during Friday congregations.
DIG Operations instructed that all officers and personnel deployed on security duty remain fully alert and ensure that motorcycles and vehicles are parked at a proper place from mosques. Patrolling was intensified around mosques, and supervisory officers visited the field to inspect security arrangements. The Dolphin Squad, PRU, and other patrolling units continuously patrolled the city.
