MULTAN: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) South Punjab President Syed Ahmed Mahmood, along with Senior Vice President Khawaja Rizwan Alam and Chief Coordinator Abdul Qadir Shaheen, criticised the Punjab police’s use of force against protesting young doctors and health workers.
Speaking to media here, they denounced the police violence, the filing of First Information Reports (FIRS), the cancellation of training, and the dismissal of doctors and health workers who were peacefully protesting the proposed privatisation of public hospitals and forced dismissals. They labelled these government actions as cruel, a violation of human rights, and an infringement on the constitutional freedom of expression.
