ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram on Tuesday strongly condemned the continued aggressive, provocative and war-mongering rhetoric of Indian Premier Narendra Modi.
He called upon the government to issue a clear, loud and unambiguous warning to the supremacist Hindutva regime that any misadventure would be met with a response far more severe and devastating than before.
In a statement, the PTI leader emphasised that Pakistan should convey in categorical terms that “do not mess with us, or the price will be far heavier than you can imagine”.
“PTI founder Imran Khan, who has been unlawfully imprisoned, stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces’ befitting response not only boosted the morale of the nation but also uplifted the spirits of those behind bars,” he added.
Waqas, however, emphasised that the PTI founder had warned Pakistan to remain prepared for recurring episodes of aggression and potential conflict with India due to Modi’s deceitful and untrustworthy nature.
The PTI leader highlighted that the Hindutva supremacist regime, despite facing repeated humiliation, continued to beat the drums of war. He argued that Modi’s regime only understands the language of force, making it imperative for Pakistan to reject any policy of complicity or appeasement. Instead, he insisted that the nation must adopt a tough stance backed by a zero-tolerance policy towards Indian aggression.
Waqas also expressed shock over the “criminal silence of the imposed regime” especially the House of Sharifs regarding Modi’s repeated provocative and threatening remarks. “While Pakistan’s defenders have decisively beaten India on the battlefield, there is a serious risk that the imposed, timid, and directionless rulers could undo these gains on the negotiating table,” he said.
