2 killed over land dispute in Chakdarra

CHAKDARRA: Two brothers were killed and four others sustained injuries when two groups traded fire over a land dispute in Ali Mast area of Chakdara in Lower Dir on Tuesday.

Police officials said a land dispute between cousins escalated into a deadly exchange of gunfire. The deceased have been identified as Saddam, and Abrar. The injured were immediately provided first aid and later referred to hospitals in Swat and Peshawar due to the severity of their wounds.

A large contingent of police rushed to the scene to control the situation and prevent further violence. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Chakdara for post-mortem examination, after which they were handed over to the family.
