‘Nurses are backbone of health sector’
Rawalpindi: Speaking at a ceremony held on the occasion of International Nurses Day, Professor Dr. Rai Asghar said that nurses are the backbone of the health sector and their role is more important than that of doctors. Pakistani nurses are no less than anyone in their ability, says a press release.
He emphasised that it is important for these nurses to have the best working environment.This was stated by Professor Dr. Rai Muhammad Asghar while addressing a private hospital as a special guest on the occasion of International Nurses Day.
Later, while addressing a cake cutting ceremony, Dr. Rai Asghar paid tribute to nurses all over the world, referring especially to Pakistani nurses, he said that providing better facilities to government nurses is the top priority of the government. The best opportunities should be provided for their training.
PAMI elects office-bearers
Islamabad: Advocate and former president of the High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi, Sardar Abdul Raziq Khan Advocate, has been elected as the chairman of the Pakistan Assembly of Muslim Youth (PAMI), while Chaudhry Naeem Karim has been elected as the secretary general and Javed Iqbal Goraya as the central chief organiser, says a press release.
According to reports, their election was made unanimously at a meeting of the PAMI working committee at the National Press Club, Islamabad. In which PAMI members from all four provinces and Azad Kashmir participated, which was chaired by former chairman PAMI Aslam Zar Advocate, while the special guests of the meeting were former Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan and former Speaker Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir.On this occasion, Sardar Abdul Raziq Khan Advocate thanked everyone for being elected as the Chairman of the Pakistan Assembly of Muslim Youth (PAMI) and said that I have always fulfilled my responsibility as my duty. I am very grateful to everyone who trusted and elected me. I assure you that I will make every effort to perform my duties in the best possible way.
The meeting was specially attended by Iqbal Dar, Hafiz Abdul Waheed, Shadman Ghilzai, Dr. Abdul Rahim Awan, Hafiz Usman Abbasi Nasrullah Jaral, Hamid Saleem Dr. Khalid Sulehri, Mehr Jahangir Advocate, Syed Hasnain Bukhari Ghulam Mustafa Haideri, Raja Khalid Kayani Raja Zaki Jabbar, Junaid Iqbal and many other members.
