Pak-India escalation: Pak-EU Business Forum postponed
It is not yet known whether venue will remain same or would be changed to Doha or Dubai
ISLAMABAD: Following the escalation between Pakistan and India last week, the Pakistan and European Union Business Forum, scheduled to be held in Islamabad this week, has been postponed.
Another important engagement on the economic front is the scheduled parleys between Pakistan and the IMF from May 14 to 22, 2025, in Islamabad. It is not yet known whether the venue will remain the same or would be changed to Doha or Dubai.
There are chances that the IMF may prefer to come to Islamabad, provided their security department grants them clearance.
Otherwise, they may opt to come close to Islamabad’s time zones and hold meetings on Zoom.
The EU-Pakistan Business Forum, scheduled to be held in Islamabad on May 14 and 15, 2025, has been postponed in the aftermath of the escalation between the two nuclear rivals, Pakistan and India, last week and might be rescheduled again in the coming weeks.
