Panic grips Jauhar after blast near police post

Panic gripped Gulistan-e-Jauhar after an explosive device blast late on Friday night.
According to initial reports, suspects threw an explosive device near the Ashraf-ul-Madaris police post in Block 11 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, within the jurisdiction of Sharea Faisal police station.
The attack created panic in the vicinity of Munawwar Chowrangi. Luckily, no loss of life or damage to property was reported.
A heavy contingent of law enforcers including Police and Rangers, reached the scene and inquired about the incident. Bomb Disposal Squad and Crime Scene Unit experts also arrived to collect evidence and examine the nature of the blast. Police officials said the targeted police post was non-operational at the time of the incident.
