Rawalpindi : Like the rest of the country, the residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have expressed strong appreciation for the Pakistan Army’s robust response to recent hostilities, particularly its retaliatory strikes against India. The military action has become the talk of the town, with citizens praising the armed forces' swift and coordinated operations.

On Saturday, people poured into the streets, raising full-throated slogans in support of the Pakistan Army. Waving national flags and flashing victory signs, they celebrated what many described as a powerful show of strength in the face of Indian aggression. Lawmakers in the National Assembly also lauded the military's decisive actions, emphasizing that the country stands united in defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The broad public support, echoed across political parties, reflects a shared sentiment of resilience and national pride.

Following reports of Indian drone attacks on military installations, Pakistan responded with retaliatory strikes targeting Indian positions. The Prime Minister termed the action “powerful and well-coordinated,” while reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to peace, stability, and national defense. The public response has been overwhelming. Residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad hailed the military’s efforts and stood firmly with the armed forces. Many citizens said the Indian attacks were intended to spread fear and panic among Pakistanis, but instead, they strengthened the public's resolve.

Numerous rallies were held to express solidarity with the military and condemn Indian actions, which many termed as a violation of the ceasefire agreement and a form of cross-border terrorism. Protesters from all walks of life accused India of escalating tensions, especially amid the already fragile situation in Kashmir. One of the most prominent rallies was organized by the Christian community in Rawalpindi. Led by pastors from the International Full Gospel Fellowship (IFGF) churches, a large group of participants marched from Government Gordon College to the Rawalpindi Press Club. Speaking at the event, community leaders declared their unwavering support for the armed forces and strongly condemned Indian aggression.

“We stand shoulder to shoulder with our military,” said one of the pastors. “The Christian community will play its full role in defending Pakistan. This is our homeland.” In several parts of the garrison city, people held public gatherings and offered special prayers for the safety, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan. Participants, including students, workers, clerics, and traders, affirmed that the nation was ready to face any threat.

“The Pakistan Army fought with courage, dignity, and precision,” said a resident. “Within four hours, they showed the world their capability. The entire nation salutes our brave soldiers.”

The recent escalation has not only galvanized public support for the armed forces but also fostered a renewed sense of national unity. As tensions simmer, the message from Rawalpindi and Islamabad is clear: the people of Pakistan stand resolutely behind their defenders.
