LONDON: British police said officers detained another Iranian man on Friday as part of a counter-terrorism probe, following a string of recent arrests.
London´s Metropolitan Police said officers arrested and detained the 31-year-old “at an address in north-west London this morning as part of the investigation, which is being led by the Met´s Counter Terrorism Command.”
It added that three other Iranian men arrested in the capital on May 3 could now be detained until May 17. The Met said the arrests were not linked to a separate “counter-terrorism” operation on May 3, when officers arrested five Iranian men across England.
