ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has filed a contempt of court petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) over alleged denial of his meeting with the PTI founder in Adiala jail despite court orders.
The petition has been filed through Raja Zahoor ul Hassan advocate, the counsel for Gandapur. The petitioner has taken the plea that the chief minister of a province is not being allowed to meet his leader for guidance on policy matters despite court orders.
“Contempt of court proceedings be initiated against respondents due to non-compliance of court’s orders,” it stated. Jail superintendent, home secretary, and IG Jails have been made respondents.
