DIG warns against filing false applications
LAHORE:Those who trouble innocent citizens by submitting false applications should beware. Individuals who misuse the complaint process for personal motives will face legal action.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran issued directives to divisional SPs during an open court session. He emphasised that even filing minor false complaints to intimidate citizens is a crime. For the timely provision of justice, people must stick to facts when presenting their cases. He ordered SP City to present an inquiry report regarding a complaint in a property and financial dispute. Similarly, in response to a citizen’s complaint about partiality by the SHO of Manawan in a property case, SP Cantt was instructed to personally hear both parties and report the facts regarding the SHO. DIG Operations also marked an inquiry to DSP Township in a land fraud case and ordered action if forgery was proven. In another case, SHO Shalimar was directed to assist an elderly woman who had lodged a complaint against her own son. Faisal Kamran reiterated that crime eradication and justice delivery are top priorities for Lahore Police. No obstacle in the path of justice will be tolerated.
