PDMA on alert to cope with any emergency
After India’s cowardly attack on Pakistan, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab is on alert to cope with any emergency in accordance with directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
PDMA DG Irfan Ali Kathia has issued instructions to the commissioners, deputy commissioners, provincial control room and district emergency centres across the province to remain alert. Kathia said that PDMA Punjab is in touch with all district emergency centres moment by moment. PDMA Punjab is also continuously monitoring the water situation in the rivers.
PDMA DG also issued instructions to warehouses to keep relief supplies on standby. He further said that in view of Indian aggression, all rescue and relief organisations should be on alert. Rescue Health Department and Civil Defence institutions are on alert in view of the current situation, he added.
