CS orders all depts to ensure full preparedness as per war book
LAHORE:A video link meeting of administrative secretaries was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman.
The chief secretary directed all departments to ensure full preparedness in connection with the 'War Book.' He emphasised that all arrangements must also be documented in the form of comprehensive guidelines. He stated that the control rooms set up in the Home Department and Industries & Commerce Department will operate 24 hours a day. Departments were advised to coordinate with the Home Department for any kind of guidance. Highlighting the importance of emergency response, the chief secretary said that the role of the health department and Rescue 1122 is crucial in any emergency or wartime situation.
The Information Department was instructed to set up a special control room to raise public awareness. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Planning & Development Board and administrative secretaries of all departments.
