LAHORE:Due to rising tensions between Pakistan and India, Punjab Social Security has announced a health emergency across the province.
On the instructions of PESSI Commissioner Muhammad Ali, emergency steps have been taken in 22 hospitals and 269 medical centres. All doctors, nurses, medical and admin staff have been told to stay alert and follow emergency procedures. Besides, leave of entire medical staff has been cancelled, and staff must be available at all times.
Hospitals must be ready 24/7 with emergency kits, medicines, blood supplies, and medical equipment. They must also stay in contact with rescue services and other emergency departments to respond quickly to any serious situation.
