Sherry terms blocking of Aseefa’s X account digital aggression by India
Sherry states Pakistan’s forceful responses played key role in exposing India’s disinformation campaigns
ISLAMABAD: Vice President of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and parliamentary leader in the Senate, Senator Sherry Rehman, has strongly condemned the blocking of First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari’s X (formerly Twitter) account by Indian authorities, calling it a clear act of digital aggression and political panic by the Modi government.
“India, already guilty of water aggression, has now stooped to digital aggression,” she said while condemning the blocking of Aseefa’s X account by Indian authorities.
Sherry Rehman said after Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the blocking of Aseefa’s account reveals India’s growing insecurity and inability to handle dissenting voices from Pakistan.
She criticised the Modi administration for its repeated attempts to frame Pakistan through fabricated narratives. “Modi believed he could continue staging dramas to defame Pakistan internationally and win elections at home. That time is over. Today, the Indian public itself is questioning Modi’s actions and intentions.”
She stated that Pakistan’s swift and forceful responses have played a key role in exposing India’s disinformation campaigns to the global audience. “Strong voices from Pakistan have shattered the illusion India tries to project. The world now sees through these tactics.”
Senator Rehman reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to unveiling India’s state oppression and misinformation on the global stage. “We will continue to expose the real face of Indian state brutality, both online and offline.”
Calling for accountability, she concluded: “Modi must answer for the Pahalgam incident. Suppressing voices won’t change the facts, and India must be held responsible.”
