Express vacuum

In the past, the Mianwali Express used to carry passengers along the Kundian - Rawalpindi route. About two decades ago, this service stopped plying this route, perhaps due to revenue issues and other reasons. Sadly, it was the only way for many to access Rawalpindi and other cities.

Since the Mianwali Express left, the population of the areas it served has increased manifold but the people have not been provided with an alternative rail service. Restoring the Mianwali Express to this route would not only help facilitate the people but would also help boost Pakistan Railways’ revenues.
