IHC orders registering kidnapping case of missing person from Islamabad

Petitioner prayed court that missing person be recovered and presented in court

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered to register a kidnapping case in respect of a citizen who has gone missing on March 20, besides adjourning the hearing of the case till May 7.

The petition filed by one Waqar Ahmad for the recovery of his missing brother Naeem Muzaffar came up for hearing before Justice Muhammad Asif of IHC on Friday. Naeem Muzaffar has gone missing from the area of G-10 10 Islamabad.

Imaan Mazari, counsel for the petitioner, appeared in the court along with the mother of Naeem Muzaffar. DSP Legal Sajid Cheema and police authorities of the police station Ramna were also present in the court.

Counsel Imaan Mazari took the plea that the brother of her client has been missing since March 20. CCTV footage of lifting him from his home is also available. 

She said that a dala and a police van can clearly be seen in the footage. The petitioner prayed the court that the missing person be recovered and presented in the court. The court, after hearing the argument, directed police to register a case of kidnapping of Naeem Muzaffar. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till May 7.
