Minorities in Pakistan to support Pak Army in case of war: Kohistani
State Minister for Minorities' Affairs Kheal Das Kohistani has said the concerned religious minorities in the country will fight alongside the Pakistan Army in case war breaks out between the two neighbouring countries – India and Pakistan.
Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, he said all the religious minorities in Pakistan were fully secured and they had been practising their religion with complete freedom.
On the other hand, he said, the government of Narendra Modi in India had been committing atrocities against minorities. The state minister predicted the annihilation of India if it started a war with Pakistan. He said the members of religious minorities in Pakistan would support the government and the army to ensure protection of their motherland. He recalled that 90,000 Pakistanis had laid down their lives in the nation's fight against terrorism.
He said that constant sacrifices hadn't lowered the morale of the army personnel who had constantly been busy foiling the designs of the enemies. He said that Pakistan had been a victim of terrorism.
The state minister lamented the irresponsibility on the part of the Indian media, which unduly blames Muslims for terror incidents.
He cautioned India against hatching conspiracies to undermine economic prosperity and foreign investment in Pakistan. He also criticised the Indian government for adopting anti-Muslim laws. He said the religious minorities in Pakistan were free to commemorate their festive days.
He recalled the vision of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, who envisioned a country where minorities would have complete freedom to exercise their religion. The state minister said that the Pakistan Army would respond to Indian aggression at the borders befittingly. He censured the belligerence shown by the Indian prime minister after the Pahalgam incident.
