Martyred cop laid to rest
KOHAT: The funeral prayer for martyred police official Niaz Marjan was offered at the Police Lines in Karak.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Kohat Region Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat attended the ceremony along with Karak District Police Officer Shahbaz Elahi, SP Investigation, SP of Counter Terrorims Department Kohat, additional deputy commissioner, officers from the police and civil administration, members of Khattak Ittehad, media representatives, the business community, and people from other walks of life.
A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a salute to the martyred official, while the RPO and other senior officers laid floral wreaths on the martyr’s coffin.The RPO and DPO met with the bereaved family members and reiterated their commitment that the sacrifice of Shaheed Niaz Marjan would never be forgotten and his blood would not go in vain.After the funeral prayers, the martyr’s body was sent to his native area, where local burial rites were performed.
