Nation stands by armed forces: Muqam Indian threats condemned
MINGORA: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and States and Frontier Regions Amir Muqam said on Sunday that the nation stood by the armed forces against threats from India. Addressing a political gathering in Matta, he criticized India for leveling baseless allegations against Pakistan after the recent terrorist attack in the Pahalgam area of Occupied Kashmir. The minister called India’s threat to revoke the Indus Waters Treaty “foolish” and warned that such international agreements cannot be terminated unilaterally. Crediting the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) government for the economic development of the country, he accused the previous provincial government of halting progress. “Laying gas pipelines and establishment of grid stations in Swat as the PMLN government’s developmental agenda,” he went on to add. Criticizing the PTI government’s governance, Muqam labeled the party’s agenda as destructive for the country. Despite several assassination attempts, Muqam said he remained steadfast and committed to supporting the oppressed. “Be it terrorism, floods, or earthquakes – I have always stood by my people and will continue to do so,” he added. Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, also addressed the rally. He praised Engineer Amir Muqam’s leadership, calling him a symbol of strength and stability for PML-N in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Others who addressed the rally included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Coordinator for the PM Youth Programme Babar Saleem Khan, Azmat Ali Khan, PML-N Swat Division President Wajid Ali Khan, Muhammad Ali Shah, Swat District President Qamoos Khan, and party leader Sher Zaman Khan. Among those who joined PMLN with their families and supporters were Muhammad Naeem alias Tor Khan, Shaukat Khan, Ahmad Khan alias Khan Sahib, Rahmat Ali, Hazrat Ali, Fain, Buland, Badr Munir, Sardar Ali, Syed Abdullah, Ramdad, Adalat Mand, and Abdul Kareem.
