Formal letter issued to grant grace marks to first-year students
The Boards and Universities Department has issued a formal letter to grant grace marks to the first-year students of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK).
Sharafuddin, Section Officer, Boards and Universities Department, has said in the letter to the BIEK chairman that in light of the report of a fact-finding inquiry committee regarding the sudden decline in the passing percentage of the students of the 11th exam results of 2024, BIEK, the cabinet had approved the recommendations of the special committee to grant 20 percent grace marks in chemistry and 15% in physics and mathematics, to students who had appeared in the first year examination organized by the BIEK last year. Therefore, the letter says, it is requested that necessary action be taken to implement the decision of the provincial cabinet and inform this department about it.
