Honourary fellowship for FTO welcomed

PESHAWAR: The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) has awarded an honorary fellowship to Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah in recognition of his philanthropic services.

The Abasin Column Writers Association has congratulated him on receiving the honorary fellowship, stating that CPSP is a prestigious institution for advanced medical education in the country.

A communication said, a recipient of the Hilal-e-Imtiaz and Sitara-e-Imtiaz, Dr. Asif Jah, is also a renowned Urdu writer and has authored over 25 books.

Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, President of the Abasin Column Writers Association, said the honourary fellowship conferred by CPSP acknowledges Dr Jah’s unwavering commitment to integrity.

He noted that the FTO has vast experience in tax administration, operations, and implementation of tax policies.“

The honorary fellowship highlights his philanthropic contributions, including the establishment of hospitals, mobile clinics, 43 dispensaries, community welfare centres, and schools across the country,” said Sarhadi.

“Working beyond borders, he has also managed to supply relief goods and medical aid to ailing communities and refugees in Turkey, Syria, and other countries,” he added.
