1st Morgan national squash event kicks off
KARACHI: The first Morgan Reach national junior squash championship kicked off at Punjab Squash Complex on Thursday.
“We have received more than 263 entries including entries from Balochistan for the first time,” said M Mansoor Khan, Vice President (admin) of Punjab Squash Association. He added that the players will compete in the age categories of under-13, under-15, and under-17 for titles and the prize money of Rs 1 million.
“We are thankful to the Managing Director of Morgan Reach Dr Kamran Hameed Sheikh and Chairman Morgan Group Nasar Hameed Sheikh for joining hands with PSA. “The championship will surely help discover new talent in squash and it is quite encouraging that corporate companies are coming forward to promote squash at national level,” said Mansoor.
Dr. Kamran said that “We are committed to the development of Pakistani squash and will continue to organise such events in the future. He added that it is an honour to work alongside the PSA for the betterment of squash in Pakistan.
