Faizabad protest case: ATC indicts PTI leaders
Court orders Hafeez to submit bond of Rs1 lakh and said that he will not leave until he submits bond
ISLAMABAD: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Tahir Abbas Supra has indicted the accused in the case registered over Faizabad protest against disqualification of the founder of PTI and summoned witnesses.
During the hearing on Wednesday, Faisal Javed Khan, Aamir Kiani, Wasiq Qayyum and other accused appeared in the court and a request was made by PTI lawyers to postpone the indictment, on which the judge remarked that it is being said everywhere that cases have been registered but trial is not being held. “You people are the ones saying this. Or say that the cases should not be tried.” Masroof Khan Advocate said this is not about these cases, this is about political cases. The court said your acquittal pleas have also been rejected.
The court ordered Raja Rashid Hafeez to submit a bond of Rs1 lakh and said that Rashid Hafeez will not leave the courtroom until he submits the bond. The court indicted the accused while the accused denied the charge.
The court summoned prosecution witnesses for next hearing of case and adjourned the further hearing of the case until May 12. A case has been registered against the PTI leaders at Police Station I-9.
