Fire erupts in solar panel factory
LAHORE:A fire broke out in a solar panel factory near the LOS Nullah on Kacha Ferozepur Road, triggering a swift emergency response from Rescue 1122 and fire control teams.
Flames were visible from a distance, drawing concern from nearby residents and shopkeepers. The incident was reported when passersby noticed thick black smoke rising from the building. Rescue 1122 personnel and emergency vehicles reached the scene. Firefighters carried out full-scale operation and extinguished the blaze. According to initial reports, one person was trapped inside the building when the fire erupted. Rescue officials successfully extracted the individual, identified as Irfan, an 83-year-old worker, from the factory premises. The survivor's condition was declared stable. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of an electrical fault or overheating, especially considering the nature of the equipment and materials involved.
Four found dead in separate incidents
In a series of alarming incidents across the City, four bodies were recovered from separate locations here on Sunday. Three of the deceased remain unidentified as one has been confirmed as a local rickshaw driver who passed away during medical treatment. The first body of 40-year-old unidentified man was found lying on a footpath along Shalimar Link Road in the Mughalpura area early in the morning. Second unidentified man, around 35 years old, was found dead in the Baghbanpura area. Police have yet to uncover any documents or personal belongings that might help identify him. In the third incident, a 30-year-old unidentified man was found dead near Al-Karim Chowk in the Quaid-i-Azam Industrial Estate. Workers in the area spotted the body and contacted emergency services. As with the previous cases, foul play has not been ruled out, and forensic teams are conducting a detailed examination. In the fourth case, a 50-year-old man was found unconscious in the Kot Lakhpat area. He was rushed to hospital but died during medical care. The victim was later identified as Javed, son of M Nawaz.
Meanwhile, a man’s body was recovered from the canal along Tota Pind, Barki Road on Sunday. Some passersby noticed the body floating in the water and alerted authorities. Emergency vehicles rushed to the scene, and a professional diving team from Rescue 1122 was deployed to retrieve the body. Body was shifted to morgue.
