PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (KPPRA) has introduced the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (E-PADS) to ensure transparency and efficiency in public procurement processes across the province.
An official communique said that to support the implementation of this system, the KPPRA, in collaboration with the World Bank-funded Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Spending Effectively for Enhanced Development (KP-SPEED) programme, organised a training workshop for government officials in Abbottabad. Officers from various departments participated in the session.
The workshop was aimed at familiarising the participants with the KPPRA Act, procurement rules, and procedures, while also providing practical training on the use of the new E-PADS software. Director of KPPRA Amanullah Khan briefed attendees on the software’s features and the broader benefits of adopting an e-procurement framework.
Amanullah Khan noted that the software has been rolled out across the province and is designed to meet all regulatory requirements. He added that KPPRA is conducting similar workshops across districts to build capacity and ensure smooth adoption of the system.
Participants welcomed the initiative and said that the new system would simplify procurement processes and enhance accountability. They also recommended organising more training sessions at the district level to facilitate broader awareness and implementation.
